So I'm getting the MSA ready to rent out, and I've got it back together and rodding it up.
P1 will raise 1 and 2, but when I hooked it up:
1st string: Bellcrank 2 (second from Axle), Finger 1 (closest to axle)
2nd string: Bellcrank 1, finger 2
They're WAY out of whack. 1 goes to south of G# and 2 goes to about F.
I don't recall it being that bad the last time I had it together.
Strings: Live Steel. 13 for F#, 15 for D#
I'm gonna work on the rest of the changes and come back to it, but does anyone recall offhand how they've got that rodded? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

In my experience of rodding (just did one - not an MSA) the general rule is the small diameter plain strings need more movement to raise (than heavier strings) and lots more to lower so the outer crank holes come into play on those strings.
Other than that it becomes pretty specific to the particular guitar and it's mechanism.
Live strings seem to be good to set and need little further adjustment IMHO. _________________ Priebs GFI ('09)Short-Uni10. GFI ('96)Short-Uni SD11. ('86)JEM U12

I had the camera handy, here are a few pics, all raising 1 to G# and 2 to E. Raising 1 requires a lot more travel then does 2. These are all on RKL.

Both pulls are on one puller on my Franklin.
Those changes are on my RKL.
