They're uncommon, but largely because the only common possibilities would be P7 and the C lower and P7 and A lower. And neither look all that useful. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I split three with pedal 7 and the lower lever and use it a lot. |

How? As an A9th chord? My pedal to the right of P8 raises 7 and 3 to C# _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I would think most folks don't have that change, Lane. I started splitting three to use as the "sweetener" with pedal 8 before I added the half step raise lever. Now it's sometimes convenient to use the split rather than the lever... and it gives you a ninth on string 4. On my LKL lever I have "reverse 6" which gives me a flat 5 on 2 and sharp 5 on 6 when used in conjunction. |

What about strings 9 & 10? I haven't been able to try it yet, but when I use P5 with P8 to give an A6 chord, it would be good if 9 & 10 lowered same as for P8 alone. Can you do this with a couple of splits? It seems ok in theory. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Split-tuning the
Knee that lowers the 4th from A to Ab
with
Pedal Seven (raise 3 & 4 to B & D)
has been worthwhile.
