I will not refinish it. It has wonderful age checking. I will address some of the dings and dents though. It will get a white fretboard and leg feet. But that's all minor. I will be converting it to barrels behind fout hole pullers, using James Moreheads wonderful parts. 3 and 5, unless the buyer wants a 3 and 6. It will be for sale, and I'm already looking for the next project. BTW; the pickup abdo-lutely wails!

Because that's what I do! It will be a wonderful guitar, a real player when I'm done with it. Barrels behind two hole pullers are the best design David Jackson came up with. I like racks and barrels, but two hole pullers are much better! And the new Morehead four hole pullers are even better! I have a '63 S-10 Fingertip, and a '74 S-10, 3 and 6.

I have both styles: R&B and the two-hole pullers with barrels. My take: the 2-hole pullers are just a tad better. But only just a small tad. And the R&B is an easier system to change the coped on. R&B when set-up properly is a fantastic system. My suggestion: leave it alone and just get it all adjusted well.

This is mine after a rebuild...actually ressurected, after a fire...I had this S-12 on here a few times  It's a 6 and 4.

Thanks John...and in case you missed the BBQ job...here she is again...took an Angel and stranger to me over a year for the rebuild...and he did it all for free!!!

John...Alot of the original wood was fine, but even with the new paint job some of the scorch marks were still there...it was just so much he could do. A new neck had to be made as it was beyond repair. The front apron is now rounded as is the back...it used to be square. All in all full marks as this was the first repair/rebuild he'd ever done.He makes his own Keyless universals just for himself. That was the worst day of my life even counting all my operations when the Police called me. I was in another part of the U.K. One of my dogs died in the fumes. Dave Langdon who did the rebuild wanted the name Jolene on the front..but that was too much a sad reminder of that sad day. He put on "Phoenix" instead. A Damn candle blew over and within minutes the whole back room and part of the kitchen /diner were ablaze. Had to live somewhere else for a few months till all the house renovations were sorted. And here's how it looks after less than five minutes with California Customs De=Oxy and Purple Polish. Less than 5 minutes!
