I just stumbled upon these Jet City RetroValves and figured I should post on this thread. Anyone have experience with these?

This is interesting but they don't have power tubes. I have pretty good luck with the JJ or Sovtek preamp tubes. I'll check out the analog SS preamp tubes anyway and maybe there is a hidden golden note there?

Question is, what model would you start off with? hi igain, standard gain or cool gain?

I'd use cool gain for steel. No telling what the distortion characteristics of the high gain tubes would be. (Just a guess - I've never tried these.)

Whats is the latest on these solid state tubes?

Did they fall out of favor or what?

Anybody using them?

What is the best SS rectifier replacement for a 5U4 rectifier tube?

I totally don't know what else is out there but I used a WEBER COPPER CAP in a Deluxe Reverb with total satisfaction.

Thank you john:

Will order one ASAP. I had a SS rectifier that leaked a granular sand and the amp stopped working. Put the tube rectifier in until I got another SS rectifier. The SS rectifier said TRS on it.
