Terry Crisp! Man what a talent. One of the greatest steel guitarist that has ever lived.
He is a multi talented guy.
I watched him rebuild a motor in an old John Deere tractor and later that evening with his hand bruised and bleeding we went to work as he was setting in for Jim Vest and the Nashville Cats whom I was playing with at the time.
Terry sat down and played the entire gig on Jim's steel guitar. Now that was a challenge in itself.
I would have rather rebuilt the tractor.
p.s. Mike Rohas on Piano. Another musician's musician.

Thanks for this great clip
The steel guitarist did a sensational job; smooth, fast with great tone and technique.
I've fallen in love with Suzy's great country voice and her guitar playing is right up there at the top.
So many singers can barley tune their own instrument.
Great clip!

Here's a nice E9th break Terry did from a live show backing Reba. Starts at about 1:20 in. Tasty!

Terry Crisp
Somebody please post that great Austin City Limits performance with Ricky Skaggs Loves Gonna Get You and At E's
I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.

Saw Terry with Joe Nichols around ten years ago.(This was before Joe became "Nashville-ized" and starting recording such insipid tunes as, 'Tequilla Makes Her Clothes Fall Off"). Joe performed his early hits, a few of Merle Haggard's tunes and some awesome Western Swing numbers, all enhanced greatly by Mr. Crisp's fine steel playing...FWIW: Terry's version of, "Raisin' the Dickens' on an early Skaggs recording ranks among the best that I have heard.

Really annoyed at this !
This great bit of video with the supurb playing by Terry Crisp has been removed.......Why?????
I get this..
"Suzy Bogguss - I Want to Be..." The YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement.
There are lots of nice videos of Suzy singing this song but to take away the best one ! and the steel guitar!!

Just as the video link says. It got pulled because they caught him too many times posting copyrighted material, which is not only against their policy, but I also believe it might be illegal (not 100% sure about that).
