I used to own a less deluxe version of this same guitar, and I've played Pete Grant's guitar. They're really nice sounding instruments - nowhere near the tone or volume of a resonator guitar, but then again, they're not designed to be.

I've seen and heard Pete's and am pretty sure his is a Teacher's model.
Not in as pristine a condition but much fancier details on the body...lots of scrolling etc.
But it does sound wonderfully rich.
I remember him telling me he used it in a studio session and the engineer was blown away by it's tone.
