My new Mullen G2 SD-10...

Post by Dickie Whitley »

After having to miss out on a D10 Emmons from Billy Knowles due to home repairs, I scraped enough to get a new Mullen G2 SD-10......

She's loaded for bear....

I know some folks won't agree with the copedant or how loaded it is but it's the way I wanted it and the great folks at Mullen delivered. I'm one happy camper.

Clark, that's a half stop. Using Sho-Bud barrel. RKR bellcrank moves along the shaft freely, hitting the barrel at D, continuing on to C#. The barrel screws and unscrews to tune D.
PS: utterly gorgeous, Dickie.
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

Clark, that is Mullen's "heavy duty", 2nd string half-stop that I ordered with it.

I've always had a problem "overshooting" the half-stop on string 2, so when Mike Mantey told me about this option, I told him to add it on.

So far I'm in love with it, I'm hitting the half-stop good, more than worth the money in my humble opinion.

Oops, sorry Lane, didn't see your post when I was typing Clark's reply.

That is close to what I'll be playing when I grow up.
I know my playing is a bit pitchy, but at least my tone sucks

Hey Peter,
If I could just play HALF as good as you play I'd consider myself really "grown up." :)

Dickie, I'm a little jealous right now...that's what I would like, with all those pedals if not the same changes...could I play all of it?, probably not, but it would sure be fun trying.
