What about a theme-based jam? Some possible tribute suggestions:
1] Celine Dion (or Rolf Harris)
2] "Bollywood" show tunes
3] Klezmer cavalcade
4] Martial music
5] Rat-pack (sans Joey Bishop)
6] Sun Ra
7] Folk tunes of the Russian steppes
8] Circadian rhythms and blues |

Barry, re: The Shaggs. Are you referring to the rock band that was based at UMASS in the 60s? |

Barry, thanks for the link. Definitely not the same band. Totally different meaning of the term. More along the line of The Fugs or The Trogs. I never heard them, but always assumed they were a college party band. Bass player was from Palo Alto. |

Oh man, that would be awesome! Let me know if that actually happens. I will have to check the Delta flight schedules, but it would definitely be worth the trip to Portland and back, if only just to observe. |

Hi Larry,
Having been an armchair attendee, I probably don't have the right to cast my vote, but here it is, just the same. I think you have posted some really good song choices. How about: 5,6,11,15,16,19,20,22,33,36,38,39
Of course, the rest of our crew can run me out of town on a rail! |

I think it might be easiest to copy the entire list into a new post, then delete the songs you don't want.
