I just want to thank Larry Behm for going to all the trouble of setting up an entire steel guitar jam just to celebrate my birthday. I had a great time.

Larry, May the fourth be with you! 8)

Tony, my friend, just for you on the big 65. 40 years ago both learning to play and sharing licks and ideas, wow tell me it hasn't been that long.

At Christmas we dream of sugar plum ferry's dancing through our head, last night I could not turn off the sound of 29 steels, gosh I am tired.

Larry Behm, thanks for all you did to organize a great jam, I know it's a lot more work than folks realize. It was similar to Los Angeles Perl Jams, but better in that rides for each player were shorter, just a verse OR chorus, not both, so even with 29 players, it didn't seem too long getting around the horn to all pickers. And the live band played superbly, they have a lot of patience and stamina!

And you went out of your way to make me feel welcome and known to the group, thanks for that. A lot of nice folks and great talent in that bunch! I was quite impressed with the skill levels. I look forward to future gatherings.

I counted 31 steel guitar rigs in action around the circle, a few more set aside for sale, and a few guitars were played by more than one person. Thanks to Dennis Lee, Mr. Tommy Overstreet was able to join us. He, brother Ray "Skip" Montee, and several other notable players chose to remain in the audience and enjoy the show, it was a great day to be a NW picker.

A great event, indeed !! Lots of great playing, cool gear, catching up with folks we haven't seen in a year or more. The backup band is perfect and many thanks for the hard work and planning our Steel guitar Ambassador Behm puts into it. As we all know, the best part is just the great comraderie. We are a fortunate lot.

:D Larry, you done it again. You instigator of fun you. Sure appreciate all the pictures of the players and their rigs. I might kill for that LDG. You know me and Birdseye Maple guitars. Kudos to all who made this possible, Roadies, players and the Beaverton Elks, you all rock.

Somehow we missed Pete sitting at his guitar, sorry about that. Here's what we have.

There's a lot of photos here, but it appears we did miss a few people somehow. I cannot find a photo of Lynn Stafford other than in the group photo. I will post a couple of others here that I found, sorry about anyone that got missed, Kathy was very busy shooting photos and did try to get everyone.

Lynn Stafford was my right-hand neighbor at the jam, I'm pretty sure his portrait got taken right after mine. Might names be added to pix so I can remember who is who before the next jam? Thanks, if so.

Based on the photos, it appears Emmons guitars were well-represented, followed by several Mullen. Then came the rest of us..... Great jam, many thanks to Larry for taking the lead and getting this one across the finish line. Very much appreciated.... RT

Looks about right, Larry. Lots more push-pull players up here than in SoCal, interestingly. Surprised there were no Carters at all.
