Excellent condition case w/ key(!)

This guitar is all original, near new showroom condition. No wear, not even on the pedals. Recent set up and changer tuning by John Widgren.

I also have an excellent original drop pin Emmons volume pedal w/ original AB pot. available.

John has generously offered to answer any technical questions that I can't.

Yes, there is a factory hole in the keyhead end plate. A changer-side endplate casting was used because its a lefty model.

Just a few words about this steel: The photos were shot before I started work on the guitar.

The guitar had a very light oxidation haze (see enplate photo) which cleaned up very easily by hand.

I started with fresh strings. I tuned the changers, correctly tensioned the lower return springs, corrected the pull leverages, and timing, set all the stops, and re did all the lowers with correct pushers (which as the photos show were incorrect). I checked all the torque values, and lubed the guitar.

There is no wear on the guitar, it is very close to pristine, except there are a few case scratches on the back apron endplate tangs.

This is the closest thing I have seen to an
"as new" vintage guitar.

I plugged it in and played it (as much as I can play a lefty). It sounds huge, and has all the desirable tonal characteristics we love about PP's. I imagine it will only play and sound better with use.

I remember years back I had a guy come to me to fix up his Left handed Emmons I added two or three levers on it and clean the aluminum and polish the body I did all the work But I couldn't play it !!!!!
not even to test it out.

I also remember talk to Ron and he told me he one or two left handed guitars a year. And we both had the same problem

Is there a structural reason there are only two knees or is it full able to add 2-3 more? And what do those knees do? Nice looking steel.

There is no structural reason not to add more knees. This is just how Slim got the guitar.

Currently LKL lowers the E's to Eb

LKR raises string 1 to G on E9 and lowers the 3rd string on C6.

Tomi Grasso in Sydney Aus has got a LH Emmons Le Grande III so Leftie Emmons aren't that rare, but thats the first Push Pull I've seen in the southpaw configuration.

Kudos to you Cartwright, and Tony Glassman (who PM'd me)for your perceptive and informed inquiry.

If you look at the underside changer pic, you will see that aluminum blocks are bolted inside the endplate to do what would be in the endplate casting of a RH guitar. Rather than making a LH casting, the blocks are bolted in for threading and holding the allen bolts for tuning the lowers.

Clever! and sounds great too.

Let's see how to buy it......Anybody want to buy a Lefty Sho-Bud LDG or Dekley D-10?

It's a blue birdseye maple lefty Emmons S10. I'll try
and post a picture of it. It still plays great but
definately looks its age. I can't even begin to count the bar dings. The way i see it they add character anyway.
