Wow, what great condition! These amps were grossly under estimated. Really a great amp for PSG. Good luck with the sale.

Is this solid state or tube? How much does it weigh?

I believe it's a hybrid SS/tube. I'll check on that. It weighs about 66 lbs.

Yeah, it's solid state power with a tube pre-amp.

Fred, who did the modifications, (replacing the SS preamp with tubes)?

Bill, I read online that it has a tube pre-amp. Is that not true? I read it in blog or forum, so it wasn't an official source.

John, I don't know what kind of speaker it has. I'll look closely and try to determine what kind it is.
Also, it appears that my assertion about the Lab Series amps having tube pre amps was incorrect.

I have owned several of these and several of the L5 models. Super amps! I currently own an L9 and use it for steel and my telecaster. Hard to beat, versatile amp! If I didn't already have one of these killer amps, I would latch onto this one!

Hi Fred -

I realize this is referencing an ancient post, but do you still have your Lab Series L9 for sale?
