Rifle case from your local sporting goods shop. Cut out foam for your steel and you are good to go!

Hi, Jerry, i don't know the size steel you're looking to house, but the lap gig bags I sell have been real winners for strength, quality, and light weight protection: http://www.markvanallen.com/store_accessories.html
Let me know if I can help out!

+1 on the rifle/archery case. I have a peli case, bomb proof, but boy is it heavy, glad it has wheels.

I have a Gator Tweed case

Post by John Wilson »

Hey Jerry,

I have a near-new Gator Tweed case that I used to keep my 8 string Melobar in. It even has a foam insert that I cut in the shape of the steel.

If you're interested, I'd sell it for $80 + shipping.

If you want, I could snap a few pictures and post them for you.

Check out the "Road Runner Roadster Little Brat 3/4 Sized Guitar Gig Bag" at Music123. Fits my 25-1/2" scale guitar-shaped steel fine. Very substantial and with hidden backpack straps.
