Mullen or Zum D10 8+8 your choice

Post by Jerry Overstreet »

Take either one you want. I'll keep the other. Buyer is responsible for all packing materials and shipping charges, estimated to be in the $150 range...could be more or less depending on your location. Verifiable forum members only with some searchable history available.

No trades....selling for economic reasons. Payment via certified or other verifiably sound bank instrument. Shipping following cleared payment.

I'm away from a computer for days or weeks at a time.

Both guitars are wood grained mica that I have wrapped with vinyl. Pretty fair job, with some minor imperfections here and there. Look pretty good overall and way better than the original to my eye.
Essentially the same Emmons set-up on both E9th. necks.
C6 pedal 8 in #4 spot, with a couple different pulls on 8.

'96 Mullen Pre Rp. 22K Mullen s/c pickups. Nice shape. Black vinyl with alum ft. panel. Originally mahogany mica.

Here's an earlier thread to the Mullen info and pics: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopi ... ap+project

'81 ZumSteel. Orange vinyl w/chrome accents. Split tuners. Originally rosewwod mica. Single coil app. 16K pickups. Pretty clean, solid, fine playing and sounding instrument. A few bumps and bruises, etc. as to be expected with a player's guitar.

Case pretty fair with padded bolster to tighten up some loose space inside guitar compartment. No, volume pedal not included.

In my haste, I failed to show a photo of the left endplate. It was engraved sometime in 1982 at one of the steel guitar functions by Buddy Emmons and Jeff Newman.

I am remotely interested.

Can you describe the exact copedent(s)? If you want to refer to a well-known posted copedent, e.g., Emmons, can you please post a link and say whether it's identical vs. how it differs?

Thanks.
MCI D-10 (Curly Chalker's last guitar) Curly's C6th on front neck; Johnny Cox’s E13th on back with E9th pedals.

I never considered an orange steel before, but that is striking.

Thanks for all the kind comments and inquiries. A deal with the Mullen has been struck. I'm keeping the Zum for now. Gotta have something to play, ya know.
