Help on a lick?

Post by John Rogers »

I posted this in the "Steel on the Web" forum but thought it might be better here.

Can anyone get me started on getting the lick at 2:40 to 2:44 in this video? I'll take as much help as I can get - thanks!

Thanks Quentin for the tab! I love these twisty licks.
Try this and see if it is close. I dont hear the 2nd string lowered here.

Great! Just noticed also, on line two of your tab the 7A-8A on string 5 is 7-8 on string 4 as I posted. I couldn't have done the revisions without your original tab. The real trick is the beginning with that 8-7A move. ;) Nice work! :D

Cool Clete!

Yeah I can learn the lick but I am not a big fan of tabbing, get kind of mixed up from the brain to the paper

Yeah that sounds like it. Thanks Quentin from Canada and Clete from Texas from John in the middle.

Now all I gotta do is practice it enough so I can:

1) sound good
2) turn my head during the lick the way Charleton does

Thanks a lot!
