Its just so hard to believe that this larger than life man is no longer with us. I am gutted, and I expect there will be many more like it. He was a dear friend to many of us, and his ebullient personality was unique. The two staff in his store didn't let on today that he had gone, and it must have been somewhat traumatic to turn in for work today. There was little stock on the floor, and I expect Vic and the rest of the team will turn that matter around.

Condolences to those closest to Bobbe - he was 74 this year which by today's standards is not old. It's so sad. :(

I'm just speechless. Just down there last week, missed him by minutes at the Mexican restaurant down the street.

Bobbe was larger than life, and I and many others will miss him dearly.

I am so sorry that Bobbe has left us. He was such an inspiration. A few years back when I was really struggling with the
PSG Bobbe told me "when in doubt, just play the melody line". I bought many of his CDs and tracks and got to where I
could play along with him almost note for note. I sure am gonna miss his tips, his wonderful playing, and his sense of humor.
Rest in peace my friend.

Oh my God! What a shock to read this first thing in the morning. I knew that he had health issues but thought he was getting better lately.

RIP Bobbe ... that is a real sad day for me

I bought my very first steel, a ShoBud Maverick, in your shop in Nashville 17 years ago and will never forget your great friendliness and warmth. I will always remember the story buying that steel, it was a funny story. So rip, my friend.

Condolences and prayers to you family.

Warmest regards ... Thomas

I am so shocked to read this about Bobbe. I knew he had been ill but never realized he was in such a bad condition. I will misss the friendly smile and the hugs he would give steel players. Another great one has passed on and left us hurting. May God comfort all the family and friends during this most difficult time.

Bobbe's passing

Post by Doug Seymour »

email from Frank told me this morning and Nick Reed's post on Facebook confirmed it. I had hoped to get to Hendersonville for a visit this spring, but it's too late now. I was always so proud of all Bobbe did all these years! Thanks for all your prayers!
