Bobby Bowman was missed

Post by Larry Hamilton »

I really missed Bobby this year at the Dallas show Due only to bad health. Personally missed not only his playing but his MC abilities. Certainly not down playing any the MC's, but face it NOBODY is so full of BS and working the crowd as Bobby. :) . Like my buddy Dwight Cook said today, "There can be 9 circles of conversations going on and Bobby is in the middle of everyone at the same time" . Get well and see you next year Bobby.
Keep pickin', Larry

Yes, we surely missed him onstage. We did our best to cover for him, but I guess that is impossible.

How could we not miss a personality like Bobby's? That said, I thought that Bill did an absolutely wonderful job, from both the audience and player's perspective.

Larry, Bob and Bill
You are right Bobby was dearly missed.
Just so our friend knows, there were many prayers given up for him, songs sang and suspenders sold for our dear friend Bobby Bowman.
The first show I ever went to I was introduced to Bobby and he remembered me the next time he saw me, even knew my name, he said hello BABY. Bobby is a character and a great friend.
Bobby get well soon we all missed you.

I agree with all that has been said here, BB was very conspicuous by his absence. Let us pray that he will be able to attend next year.

I also missed Bobby, as did many. Fred Justice and I played the Bobby Bowman & Friends Saturday 8am spot for Bobby, in addition to not hearing his steel we sure missed seeing that smile, and the conversation and remarks only Bowman could get away with..
Having said that I would agree with the others that the MC's this year did an awesome job..RM
