The first song is by Ronnee Blakley called "Dues".
The third sounds a little like Jerry Corbitt from the Youngbloods, but I don't think it's him.

Thanks, Joachim. I have that album. I hear BE on "Cry Sing & Laugh" and "Point Me Home".
Re: the other tunes, info courtesy of Arnold Leewenburgh:
All three from the L.A. period.
The male vocalist is Russ Giguere, song is "In New Germany" from his album "Hexagram 16"; there are only 2 songs with BE, the other is "Let It Flow".
The other two are Ronee Blakley: "Down To The River" and "Dues" from her album "Ronee Blakley"; I have the LP, there are only 3 songs with BE (the other is "Bluebird").
I'd like to hear "Let It Flow" and "Bluebird". |

Russ Giguere's album has been re-released I've read. This reminded me of the album by Rosebud, featuring Jerry Yester. It also featured Buddy.

I found the Ronee Blakely and Russ Giguere albums as MP3 downloads on Amazon. "Bluebird" doesn't have much audible steel, but "Let It Flow" is great.
I just found Rosebud there too. "The Yum Yum Man" is the only one of the samples in which I hear steel. More tasty, great tone, E9 backup work typical of Emmons' L.A. period. No solo. |
