Carter SOLD

Post by Bill Ferguson »

A friend of mine bought this new in 1997. I would keep it myself, but I already have 2 steels and can't even play those.
You will see from the pictures, it has very little use. The chrome on the neck does not even have scratch marks from picks, which is very common on Carters.

It is an SD10, Stock Emmons setup with 1st. pedal being the Franklin Pedal, 5 knee levers, G/L E66 pickup that is the original. In fact it is all original, except I put on a new fret board as the original one had discolored.
In 2004, Bud Carter went through the steel and did the BCT upgrade and added the 1st. pedal (Franklin pedal)
Weight: 30-1/2 lbs out of the case, 50 lbs in the case.

It was thick in dust, so I cleaned and lubricated everything. It plays and sounds great.

The case shows considerable wear, as this person moved several times and the case took the abuse. It is structurally sound.

$1850 FIRM (no trades) PLUS packing and shipping
