Loren Bayles - Newton, IA

Post by Loren Bayles »

Loren E. Bayles - Dec 19, 1930 - Feb 20, 2014. My grandfather left us this morning to be with his Lord, and those family and friends who have preceded him.

I know he enjoyed his time on this forum with his fellow musicians and deal-makers.

His Journey’s
Just begun

Don’t think of him as gone away-
His journey’s just begun;
Life holds so many facets-
This earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and
tears.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today,
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched…
For nothing loved is ever lost-
And he was loved so much.

A sad/happy day indeed.
Another friend I never got to meet personally on this side of Heaven.
I'm sad for his family and for us his friends at this moment but happy for Loren as he is free from that ol' worn out body and is with the Lord now.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Loren and I kept trying to get together last summer when I was in Iowa, however either he wasn't feeling up to it or I was off gigging
in some other direction. I will miss him both on line and in person when I'm in Iowa.

This is heartbreaking news. Please accept my condolences.

I bought and sold steels and equipment with Loren several times and exchanged emails many times over the years. He was a very nice man and I am proud to say I considered him my friend. A great loss to our community. He will be missed...

I'd only met Loren several months ago
on my way to the Northeast Iowa show.
What a nice man, we both wished we
had more time to visit.
God keep his soul and
comfort his family.

Loren Bayles' passing

Post by Al Vesel »

WOW !!! What a shocker. I had spent many times on the phone with Loren. We had some deals that went on between us and it was always pleasant to deal with him. He will definitely be missed by the pedal steel world and he was a great Forum Member and Forum Friend.

Go Rest High On That Mountain, Loren. May the Lord be with you and your family at this sad, but still glorious time for Loren, being with the Lord Jesus, now.
