This is a song I wrote about a place I used to live in Vermont. The bridge is a nod to a Joni Mitchell song. It was recorded at Bobbe Seymour's studio in the probably the late 80's/early 90's.
I learned a good lesson about changing strings on this one. I changed my strings and yanked on them so they would not detune while playing, but I yanked a little too hard and put thin spots on some of the strings so not much I played with two notes or more would be in tune, when the bar was lined up with the frets.
Luckily for me, Buddy added some great steel to it. At some point during the recording, he looked at me with that "look" and said "Chris, have you thought about switching to decaf?".
I can laugh now, but at the time… http://picosong.com/Yxvv/
