Melobar. Original stand up lap steel. $400

Post by Randall Meenach »

Original Melobar. Two bodies, naugahide/foam, and contoured Gibson Explorer shaped. Made famous by David Lindley. Get up from your steel, and join the band, a lap steel played with bar and picks, worn like a guitar. Great for rockers or blues too. Call or email for pics. $400 plus shipping from Boise ID

These don't come up often and are usually a whole lot more. Great deal!

I'll take it if it's still up for grabs.

make sure you get some pics - I'm a little suspicious of this one, remember there was a lot of junky stuff in the barn that someone got a hold of and passed off as Melobar built but it was sadly built from old spare cast off parts

Ouch! That would have never even occurred to me, Ted.

I sent Ted the pics that Randy sent me and it was a prototype that they made. All is well and it is on it's way to South Carolina. Randy is a great guy to deal with.
