Super Pro tone control....

Post by Bob Tuttle »

Does anyone know what the value of the tone control pot is on a Sho-Bud Super Pro?

Bob: If you are talking about ohm value, I could'nt say. I just checked the one on mine to try and help you out but there is no info. on it. I would guess 250 ohms. It's a little sucker. It was a good asset with the original pickups because you could darken it up. I've gone to dual coils and with those it's worth diddly squat. Wish I could be more help.---------Eddie

Hey Bob, how do you like that Super Pro on the band stand as far as tone.

Hi Mike,...It sounds great. It sure is comfortable to play. I feel like I'm home again, after playing a Super Pro for 20 years and then going through eight different guitars in the last four years. I am thinking about putting a pair of Jerry Wallace single coils on it though. I have one on my Carter S12 and it is a killer.

Great Bob, I'm just glad it was everything I told you the guitar was when I sold it to you. I was a good guitar to me and I really enjoyed the sound of it when I played it. But, even though I really didn't want to sell it, I had to. I'm glad you like it.
