If you dig Neil Young,Burritos,Big Star,The Band etc

Post by Shane Reilly »

Here's the new clip from my band "Lost Ragas" new album. I co-wrote and co-produced the record. In the film clip I forgot my tone bar so I'm miming in the back seat with a shifting spanner I got out of the glove box of the 64' EH Holden we're driving around in. HA!
It was recorded live in few takes with minimal overdubs. In fact I think this track was the first complete take.If you listen closely you can even hear me adjusting my delay tempo at the start and also the pedals and at the end turning off my fuzz pedal.( Yes, that kooky fuzz riff is me, but you knew that.)
The record has been album of the week twice on ABC Radio National and is gaining momentum.
The whole record has tons of steel in your face so if you dig this, please check it out on iTunes.
Cheers and thanks in advance for watching.

I like this. It's something different. I've been experimenting with different effects, distortion, etc. Pedal steel truly is a limitless instrument.

Hey Brandon, so glad you liked it! Yes pedal steel is limitless, that's very inspiring to me.
For any Aussies reading this we'll be on tour in March, so come down and say hi and we can talk nerdy steel talk.
Here's a press release with some dates and other jargon for you to peruse.
Hoping to get over to the US later in the year for some dates, see ya then!
Cheers, Shane.

Hi David, ha! It was a bit of a squeeze to get in the back seat with a D-10
on my lap but I made it. Reckon the spanner might catch on.
Hope to see you at a show!
Cheers, Shane.

I like what you're doing there. I can't say that I'm in love with your singer's voice, but I like the song. If you make it to Colorado, I'll check you out.
