So much good advice and information on here and it's been especially helpful during the build of my custom 8 string lap steel with Multibender - oh no - not another one! I hear you cry
I dabbled with a borrowed pedal steel years ago and even did some recording with it, but as you know, the studio can be a bit more forgiving than the stage
Six string electric is my main instrument I guess, but I've always loved the sound of the steel guitar and I've been trying for too long to make a Telecaster sound like one - oh the shame...
Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun with my steel without pedals (but with palm levers) and this place is great - hello!
