I have just completed(almost)refurbishing a 1984 Sierra 12-U. I thought I had diagramed the pickup base wiring correctly but due to what I am seeing, I suspect I made a booboo! It shows continuity between the base pin and the appropriate wire on the switchs which makes me believe the connections are good. My base is a 3 pin. I soddered the red to the left pin, orange across from it(on the player side) and the yellow on to the front of the orenge or the leg of the L shape.
Can anyone provide the correct wiring of the 3 pin base?
Now that the guitar is reassembled, it will be a bit of of a hassle to rewire but I'm anxious to see if the rebuild was worth all of the work!

I don't know about the colors, but the side of the pickup slot with only one contact is the ground. On the other side, the contact closest to the end of the pickup slot is usually wired to the "full" lead, and the other one is usually wired to the "tap".

Hope that makes sense.
