Your amp is from the 70's...probably '74 or so... tough to tell exactly without knowing the serial number and the EIA codes from the speakers, trannys and pots..

Yes, it's a 1970s silverface, Not 1960s.

I can't tell for certain, but the name badge appears to not have the copyright dot following the "R" which puts it under 1976. Certainly a nice amp ... maybe 1963 was a typo and it was supposed to be 1973

i checked the completed auctions on ebay which is a very good gauge of pricing at any time...they bring north or south of a grand depending on condition. the smaller fender amps bring a lot more money than the twins we all had! you can distort the smaller ones easy and guys buy them to use at home and small gigs.

Let me be clear, I am not dissing the amp, just commenting on dates and factors with regard to older Fender amps, as are other comments above. This is a fine amp and probably sounds awesome ! Someone will acquire a nice vintage amp here.

I've got one about the same age, maybe a year or two older, early 70's or so. I normally play through a Deluxe Reverb (Tele) but in some rooms I find it just a bit shy on power, and this is the perfect amp. Don't let the 2-10s fool you, the VR has great low end response.

Around Austin, a nice clean one seems to go in the 900-1100 range, but there are exceptions and deals to be had, and as Tony mentions, the condition is the x-factor.

GREAT amps..!! somebody will be very happy.

Yes, early-mid 70s. The first couple of years of the Silverface era (1968-69-70) the faceplates read VIBROLUX REVERB AMP. By about 1972 it was simply VIBROLUX REVERB, like the one in this thread.

One of the best sounding amps ever for electric guitar, especially Gibsons with humbuckers. Columbia didn't totally screw these up like they did with their bigger brothers. Great for gigging smaller rooms and recording.
