Just checking to see if anyone is playing pedal steel in the area? Any live music this weekend? Are there any music stores that sell pedal steels in Raleigh? Thanks. |

They're not playing around Raleigh this weekend, but check out Matt Boswell & The Hillbilly Blues Band's schedule. They usually get out to Bar 119 in Roxboro every couple of months and he usually has a steel player with him. Some of the finest country music around these parts, let me tell ya! |

There use to be a pretty good steel store about an hour drive west...I think it was named Emmons Steel Guitars.
Best bet for steel shopping in the state is Billy Knowles' Steel Guitar East in Kenansville (good hr+ drive from Raleigh) - Call him up & see what he has. _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

I'll be playing the back room at the Cats Cradle in Carrboro (30 min East of Raleigh) this Sunday evening with a singer-songwriter. Looks like the Debonzo Brothers are playing the Pour House in Raleigh Saturday night, they'll probably have a steel player with them. Or go see Clyde! That would be my bet. |
