hey Larry, my British buddy, LOL, long time no hear from you...yeah, it is a very nice guitar, brand new, Promat shipped it to my moms house and it's still there...it is my dream guitar, really don't care if it sells or not, if it does I'll order another black one, you know what they say, those black ones sound better

Now that is one beautiful guitar. I hear they are really improved over the old Push Pulls and sound as good or better.

Henry, thank you, they do have an "improved" pp changer, you can order with the guitar instead of "classic" pp changer, I don't know much about pp changers, so I can't tell you what the improvements are... I know Mr.Papic was, many years ago, in contact with Ron Sr. and there was some talks about how to improve some things, but I don't know the details... as far as tone goes, when I heard Bobbe played one of the Promat guitars, my jaw was on the floor, I have never heard better sounding steel guitar in my life... it had a tone to die for, probably because of the Bobbe, and his ability to pull the maximum out of pp guitar... it was amazing... he would pick the strings little further away from the pick up, and I don't know what else he did, or how, but the tone that was coming out of the amp, was unbelievable... and that was just a little 112 I believe, I can't even imagine what would that be like, if he had played it through Webb or something... however, this guitar here, has the "classic" pp changer...

"Promat" improved pp changer

That's neat, I like the way the hooks hook in the pull part of changer, it is all internal inside the puller and not sticking out side.

thanks Henry, Promat says new changer is smoother and less noisy than original pp changer... next Promat I order will be black D-10 with new changers on both necks...
