That is a good article Steven.
I had a good tube amp tech many years ago tell me this when I asked him about a tube tester.
He said " Your tube amp is your best tube tester"
I have come to find out over many years what he meant & he was right on saying that.

When my tubes start to lose volume and clarity they still test fine on a tube tester.
This goes for a clean tone.
Over driven or low-fi tones can run another 10 years or so. _________________ MSA 12 String E9th/B6th Universal.

I've used this one with good results it rates the tubes on a scale so you can match.
