That looks just like the first steel I owned.

Folks, this is an earlier Mullen, very similar to the new Discovery model. Under the hood much like a Sho-Bud. Very light, great tone, easy action, and at this price, this one's a good deal. It's not a student model, and has a 3R/2L changer, I believe.
I've played a couple, both sounded great, but one had a pretty hummy single coil pickup. How's the hum on this beauty, Kevin?

Mullen S-10
I've had a few of these. They do have round cross shafts like the early MSA Classic series. Also they do have a 3x2 all pull changer w/ 4 hole bell cranks. Only other issue is you have to slide the bell crank off of the end of the cross shaft, also just like the MSA Classic's. But that's not that hard to do. These are the only drawbacks, which are not big issues. They do sound nice and play well. I talked to Mike Mantey and he stated they were their Semi-Pro models.
