Greetings from Sweden! (And a homage to Ray Price)

This is our version of Walkin' slow (and thinking 'bout her). I'm a steel player myself but in this band I play the guitar and my good friend Peter Andersson plays his early 70's Sho-Bud D10. Both of us are very fond of the Fender Princeton Reverb and that's what we use for this band. Peter has put a JBL d120f in his but for my guitar I use the stock 10" Oxford from 1966. Straight into the amp and no effects except for reverb from the amp for this kind of country!

Hope you'll enjoy The Country Side of Harmonica Sam and the kind of country we love to play. Sadly you don't see that much of this style on Lower Broadway in Nashville nowadays except for a couple of bands down at Robert's.

Merry Christmas!

Good job, man! You should come over and play here. Teach us some country music in exchange for some Swedish! Is there a link to your band anywhere?

Johan, We don't have any video's at this time. Our band website is drhonkytonk.com. We are currently building a new website as the old one uses old software and is hard to manage.

I have a video of a band I worked with from around 11 years ago on Youtube. Go there and check out Custom Fitt Band and you will hear a little of me there. You can also see me there under "Pedal Steel Moment". A band had hired me to sub with them and a friend shot a quick video on his cell phone and posted it to youtube.

It would be a great time if I could come over and spend a few days with you and the band. Maybe someday.

Sounds great, Dick! I would love to visit Texas one day. I've been to Nashville three times but I'm curious about the live scene in Austin.

I'm glad you enjoyed it Gary.

Vielen dank Alexander! My grand mother comes from Germany so I'm a quarter german myself. I studied some german in school but unfortunately I've forgot most of it.

Sounds great, Johan. Do you know if the Ray Price original recording had Jimmy, or Buddy, playing the steel?

Thanks Don! According to the Bear Family box Ray Price - The Honky tonk Years it's Jimmy Day on Walkin Slow. Bear Family always do great research.
