I play country gospel and have a Carter 3 pedals and 5 levers. I have the bits and pieces to add a 4 th pedal. Could some suggest which strings I should pull with my pedal four.
Thank you.

The 4th pedal on my Williams SD-10 is the Franklin change. I'm very happy with it.

My P0 is where I raise 1&2 the G# and E respectively.

Brian here is a real easy way to look at it.
To avoid rerodding the other 3 pedals, put it in # 4 position, save yourself some time and work. Very Happy
If you want it in the 1st pedal position, you'll need to rerod the A,B & C pedals. Sad

I added a pedal (0) to my Carter and put the Franklin pedal changes on it. Since the lower fingers are below the raises (and above them with the guitar upside down), I didn't have to remove any rods to add that change. If you were to add it as a pedal 4, then you may have to remove some rods to be able to get the bellcranks in, but otherwise, not really necessary to remove rods.

Not all makers start P1 in the first hole, but drill for 10 and start with the second or third hole. I don't know about Carter.

That is the way Carter pre-machines their guitars. When I added my 9th pedal(pedal zero) , it went to the left of the first pedal .

My zero pedal lowers the G# strings to G natural. besides the minor chord, it gives a diminished chord when used with the A pedal.
