Hi Erv, Greetings from Australia. I just discovered you on the forum and am so excited to see a true Christian brother playing gospel steel. I retired this year and have been learning lap steel now for six months. Gospel tabs are hard to come by so you are a real blessing. I have only been playing in c6 tuning so far and am a bit apprehensive about trying different tunings but it looks like I will have to do it. Erv, Do you send your tabs via email? I am looking for "Each step I take". Do you use Paypal? Looking forward to hearing back. John.

John,
Good to hear from you.
All my tabs go out through the postal mail service.
I send all over the world, including Australia and Tasmania!
All my tabs are written for the E9th pedal tuning and I do have "Each Step I take".
I would be happy to send that to you, at no charge, if you think it would be of use to you.
Just e-mail me your postal mailing address and it will be on its way.
Take care and keep looking up! :D

Hi Erv, Thanks for your reply. I don't think the tab would work for me as I only play 6 string lap steel. Also I just realized I do not have a backing track. I will try to get a backing track first. Thanks, John. :(

ERV, I have always felt when credit is due it should be expressed ! We live in a world that is so critical of everything and so often so unjustly .You are producing an excellant style of learning great country classics and beautiful hymns too; therefore I am grateful. Quite often people remain silent, when pleased and loud and nasty when slightly displeased. THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED ERV YOU DO A LOVELY INTERPRETATION OF GREAT MUSIC YOURS AYE JAMES TAYLOR SCOTLAND SLANGE

ERV, I do sometimes in cold weather. However, neither our sons and sons-in-law do not, which can give some of our southerly relatives a blinding shock!!! Remember that is supposed to be a well kept secret and only for the initiated. Still I believe that southern Scots do secure the undercarriage with a wraping of some sort; think of us as hillybillies. Remember mums the word. YOURS AYE JAMES TAYLOR SLANGE

Erv, what a great little outreach you have going here. Please send me the list of tabs you have. Do you accept PayPal? I'm just starting out and I love the old gospel standards. They adapt beautifully to the pedal steel. Thanks.
