We are always asking what key is it in? Probably more so at the beginning of the journey. What I have found is many. That is why the Nashville Number System is so great. I have found there is the published key, the as recorded key, the key that anybody who writes down tab key. Then you have the key the guitar player thinks he is playing, which is not to be confused with the key the vocalist is attempting to sing in, and the key the vocalist is really singing in. I am sure I have missed many, but suffice to say nailing it down is a moving target. One that was confusing for me for sometime.
