So to hear this

Post by Joe Naylor »

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dorothy and Dan and the entire Rollins family. What a nice man and a treasure. I am glad I got to talk to him a long time last year in Dallas.

Just to let those on the forum know Yes I build steelseats and Yes the Rollins family has been Steelers Choice but what you do not know is .... after I announced I had bought steelseats the first personal email I received was from Kenn and not long after that one I received one from Dan - they were both congreatulating me and said that if I needed any help in finding vendors, etc to contact them.

THAT IS THE KIND OF PEOPLE THE ROLLINS ARE - every year in Dallas since I have owned steelseats Dan comes over or I go over to his table and we greet each other - it still surprises when he gives me that ole Arkansas Man hug that some ask if I know he is - :D

Kenn always had a smile and time to talk as well.

Terrible news indeed. My condolences to the family and friends of such a wonderful man. It's going to be extra special now when I sit on one of his pak-a-seat's at a gig.

Rollans family I am truly sorry for your loss. I enjoyed talking with your dad at the Dallas show in 06. I will enjoy the "Steers Choice" seat knowing a very loving man made it. May God comfort you during this time.
Heres a pic of Kenn displaying one of his seats:

Words are not enough right now to express how Jaime and I feel. Some of my best memories were during the years that I played with Kenn and the Sundown Band. You and your family are in our prayers.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Didn't know your dad personally but had a seat he made about 20 years ago. You put new legs on it for me and it still looked as good as new. And now I have a new one of your great seats and love it. I consider your seats to be the Cadillac of seats. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Nice to know you'll meet him again up there......clark and lucy

Dan, I just now saw this and it hurt me deeply. Ken was a friend to me. I am very sorry. I am happy that I have a seat that Ken built many years ago which I am sitting on as I type this. One that you built is in my HHR and another one is with my Grandson, Braydon in Oklahoma. Ken designed a great product and you have carried on the tradition well.

So sorry to hear this. I bought my seat from your dad years back in st Louis, only red one he had. Saved it for me untill the end of the convention. He remembered me when i talked to him on the phone a couple of years ago. Thats the red seat in the picture. He was a nice gentleman. Prayers go out to you and your family.
