Post by Hal Stackhouse »

Hi Everyone,

I would like to let everyone know that I have all of the new model Sierra Lap Steels in stock now as well as the one's we have been building for several years. In addition to the 8 string Cherry guitar and Black guitar we now offer a 6 string steel guitar with a 3 position DiMarzio pickup in the same colors. We also offer a new 8 string dual pickup in the same colors. The new twin pickup has 2 George-L 10-1 pickups on it.
You can call or email me through the forum for more information.

Have a great day

I will never...ever...regret buying the walnut Sierra S8 through Hal. The thing practically plays itself and passersby are enchanted by it's good looks.

DiMarzio Pickup

Post by Hal Stackhouse »

Hi Dustin,

The DiMarzio is a Tele-Zone version of their Tone-Zone pickup with Tele-Mounts. Any Tele-Style pickup will work on this mounting pattern. It is coil tapped to make a 3 position coil tap pickup. Number DP 389.

Thanks for your interest!!

String Spacing

Post by Hal Stackhouse »

Hi Jimmy,

The spacing appears to be 3/8's but I have emailed Tom and I'll be talking to him next week. I have sent you an email with a phone number.

String Spacing

Post by Hal Stackhouse »

Hi There,

In answer to the string spacing question. It is 5/16" at the nut and 7/16" at the bridge. Scale length is 24 1/4".

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks

My new Cherry model

Post by Dale Gamble »

Just wanted to try to add a picture of one of the Cherry 8-string models. I bought this guitar from Hal just a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it. If you are looking for a non-pedal steel guitar, I don't think you'll find a better one than this.
