Here is a bit of advice from experience.
There are some good deals to be had on 60's, 70's and 80's Autoharps that are really nice, I have a few. Most when you get them will need new strings and maybe new felt pads.
Strings are 65-85 dollars. and since there are 36 strings it is a tedious process.
Felt pads are tedious to replace also.
You might want to weight this against purchasing a new autoharp. Good luck.
