Rather than go with any partiular brand, I suggest you look for an individual guitar that you like and buy that specific one. No two are exactly alike you know (with the possible exception of the new MSA.) Every guitar is different. Even ones made by the same person with wood cut from the same tree.
I've heard some guitars from every manufacturer that I thought sounded wondertul, and some that I thought sounded like crap. (Maybe the player of the amp settings had something to do with this.) But buying a guitar of a specific brand because you like the sound of somebody else's is not a guarentee yours will sound the same.

If you take five different players and put them on the same steel guitar, what do you get?? Five different openions, five different tones, and five different sounds,,,so go figure. Everyone has a preference, and you always hope you find the one that suits yourself.
I like them all,,some better than others
