Just wondering if any of you Sho-Bud owners have had a problem with the pot metal rod pullers on the later model sho-buds breaking off from the strain of constant useage?
In the last six months I have broken two of these and both were on the LKL to lower the E's. There is a stop for the knee lever and I am not abusive, but the constant strain on this knee lever seems to wear down the pot metal pullers quite frequently. Lord knows why sho-bud would make these out of pot metal., Duh!!!!
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Gene, call Bobbe Seymour at Steel Guitar Nashville. 615-822-5555. He should have non pot metal replacement parts that will fix that problem permanently.

The above is the real fix. The other thing you can do is lengthen the throw of the lever and then put the uc rod on a lower puller-finger hole for a longer but easier throw. You'll break less parts this way.
