Please! Would like the same sound, or as close as possible, as those used on most rhythm tracks. What is the most bang for the buck in a nothing fancy drum machine? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance. |

Aleisis SR-16's can be had on Ebay for 100 or so. Boss DR-5s have bass part that you can turn off or on and change chords.
For new units, try the Zoom 123 or 232. They have some nice shuffles.

I have the Alesis mentioned but they don't have any waltz (3/4) time in the presets and the programmable ones are all 16 bit measures so you'd need a 12 bit to program a waltz in one of these.....JH

Moved to "Electronics" section.
A lot of people use Band In A Box, a computer program, to make their rhythm tracks. It's quick and easy.
