SET Steel Guitar Mtg - Oct 6th - in Katy Texas
Bobby Bowman was our Featured Player and as usual in the Bobby fashion he made us laugh and entertained us on his Red Emmons.
Elaine Gondenson played the snare as well did Billy Phelps.
Jim Cross, Craig Schmidt, & Tommy Alexander Played on their pedal steels.
Mark Everson played on his Emmons D-12 and his blue fiddle as well as contributed with vocals.
Stephen Cowell came in from the West to play his Fender Triple 8
Patty Phelps played Bass and sang and Jim Saunders played his Taylor 6 String Box as our rhythm man.
There were Brownies and Coffee, a good time had by all, and fellowship. You missed a good one.

Sunday was great fun and pickin'! Lee I wished you could have made me a little more prettier, but you did the best you could. Try harder next time.
Bobby B. had a good day, it's always a threat to hear him. (Did I tell it right, BB?)
Hope to see all of you next month..

I was particularly enthralled by Bobby's intro on Help Me Make it Through the Night... that was just awesome!

Also the way he always nails Making Believe - one of my favorite tunes.

MORE PICS ADDED

I think these clubs are great and help promote our favorite instrument and music. We couldn't do it without Billy & Patty Phelps, and Jim Saunders for putting it together and being the backup players, so thank you for all your work. Larry Schoppe, Bobby Kieth, David Waters and others who come and help thank you. Elaine thanks for your help this weekend also.
I think if every one would invite one or two players or just people that like to listen to country music we could grow and keep this going.
Thanks to all that work at other clubs, for the work you do for your clubs.
Jim thanks for the titles, I'll have to write them down, I don't think I can remember all that.
Jody also said he would try to make next month.

Great job as usual Lee. I agree with Jim regarding those titles you have earned. Wish I could have been there. I missed a good one.
