I sure wish I could be there. The Joliet convention is a wonderful thing. I've met many life long friends there. Lots of great memories and music. I'll be there in spirit. Sounds like it's going to be a great weekend! Anyone who's never been, now's the chance! :)

Jeff you sorry m?+&$r f@€%>r ... Get off your lazy a$$ and get to Joliet ...

I'm goiing to try and pull off a "Harry Dietrich" ...

Play "Beyond the Reef" at 250 bpm ...

Introduce each song in 5 seconds using f#€& every other word ...

And play Malagueña unaccompanied , finishing it off with a choreographed "Bar Roll" from the nut to the 12th fret ... to end the tune ...

PS I sure miss him

Calm down, boys. Anyway,--boys will be boys. Have fun is the name of the game and this old man is all in favor of your fun. But don't try to stick me with your Al's Steak House bill!
Seriously, I miss old Harry, too and we will miss Jeff, Howard and a lot of other old friends.
See you there, Rick.

No need for the fart machine Bill. As per tradition, Friday night is Steakhouse Night. Farting begins one hour prior with drinks and bad jokes, continues on at the over-sized table for a party of ten and concludes at midnight back at the hotel when we send out for Chinese food.

Lol!

That was great set Harry played! You described it perfectly! The Fart Machine was classic! Lot's of laughs (and good beef) at Al's Steakhouse. The always awesome luau show on Saturday night, and I'm getting hungry now just thinking about those fresh White Castle sliders at 3:00 AM!!

Looking forward to seeing you all! It will be a fun time as always. I've seen Ed play in Kauai the last two years and I love his style. You're in for a treat. I hear Alan is coming as well so we'll have some epic jams for sure. It's the last one in Joliet, but it ain't the last HSGA mainland event! HSGA is on very solid ground these days and we're looking for the best place to continue this event in 2014 and beyond. Of course the Hawaii convention was great this year, and we're all looking forward to 2015 in Honolulu. Stay tuned...

We need to write a "Harry Dietrich's Best" jokebook. Chris could try some of them on stage at the AZ Opry! ;)

Then I posted in the Buy & Sell ...

For sale ... one slightly used Harry Dietrich Joke Book ... $100 +S/H

Only serious buyers need reply ...
It's still there ... ...

Hey Rick..................

Post by Ray Montee »

Why not post up a 'sample' of the next #2 Jerry Byrd?

Would love to hear this gentleman's playing.

It would be nice to have those conventions somewhere near the center of the USA, like Wichita. Sally and I didn't realize until we returned to Oregon just how close we came to running off the edge.......

Frank M., Don W. and Wally P. ... Obviously were "median men" ... And they got it pretty damn close ...
