Hello Glenn:

Im Jack stripling from Pasadena Texas age 54.
Currently taking lessons from jody Cameron in Angleton. I will retire up there near Canyon lake, and want to supplement my retirement playing.

Hard to find gigs up there for a steeler??

Hey Jack. There seems to be a lot of weekend work, $50 to $100 gigs. I've had trouble stringing enough of those together to make a living though. Lots of live music venues. Beautiful part of the world. Congrats on retirement.

Glenn,
There is a singer named Brett Mullins who lives in the San Antonio area. He may be someone to contact about playing Steel with him. Let me know if you are interested.

Brent is a class guy and his music is "Steel friendly"
... played a gig in the Dallas area with them a few months ago and had a blast. Their Bass player is a hoot!
