Tommy Detamore on "The Return of Wayne Douglas" CD

Post by Jeff Garden »

I finally located a copy of the late Doug Sahm's "The Return of Wayne Douglas" CD. For anyone who enjoys great Texas style country with lots of pedal steel and fiddle it doesn't get much better. Tommy Detamore's Zumsteel sounds fantastic and the entire CD is an encyclopedia of great steel licks, fills, and breaks. With Doug's vocals, Tommy on steel, Bobby Flores on fiddle and Bill Kirchen on electric guitar, this is a great CD. Thanks Tommy!
