Sounds like a fun, early gig!
I love the photo. _________________ Lee, from South Texas - Down On The Rio Grande

It's almost getting to the point where one can go to the Landmark any night and hear some steel. Great place! |

Thanks to the support and generosity of several local steelers, this Friday's show will be the stage debut of my freshly rebuilt ShoBud Super Pro.
This guitar was a disaster when I got it from Bob Muller in trade for my Pro I; real pretty on the outside but you really don't want to know the rest...after a complete tear-down and cleaning we found there were a few parts missing, Doug Jones contributed lever hardware, Lynn Stafford came up with the ball sockets and rubber feet for the well-seasoned legs Bob gave me from Eric West's old Professional, made functional with parts from a couple of surplus mic stands here. The George L E66 it came with on the E9 neck sounds fat and smooth, far better than I might have thought, the C6 came with a broken ShoBud P/U, so Bob gave me back my old pickup from the Pro I to put back there.
So I'm bringing it out to play, but it's not quite finished, as there are a couple of broken Sperzel's yet to be replaced - it's a 10 string E9 and and 8 string C6 at the moment, but it plays and sounds so absolutely scrumptious that I can't bear to leave it at home any longer
