I've had the "boo-wah" pulls (std. P8)on LKL for some time and have tried different things on P8. Most recently I've got P8 pulling string 8 (A) up 1-1/2 steps to C and string 7 (C) up 1 step to D. For me this opens up these strings to cleaner single note playing (especially using LKR which lowers string 5 (G) a step to F).
Opinions?

Dave- that is one way of getting the D in there for those single note runs.

Also the 5th string G going down a whole tone to F is a great pull, and should be on all C6 guitars.

Also a pull with the 6th string E going down a whole tone to D is very usefull too.

Gives you a Sub-Dominant F6th and G to F pull gives you a F7th with pedal 6 .

And the E to D pull gives you a D7th with Pedal 5. Both nice 9th to 7th sounds, Like "Satin Doll".....al

Al, you're right. Curly instead of having the so-called Thompson pedal that is standard on P7, he approached it backward on his 10th pedal lowering the high E to D and C to B. That's why he could play Satin Doll like he could.

The G to F with both A's lowered to Ab's and pedals 5 and 6 give you a full C major/A minor chord at the 4th fret.
