RAM Speak Easy Lapsteel in custom Gambler Green

Post by Ron Mielzynski »

Here's a custom ordered SpeakEasy that we just shipped out. Its decked out in what we are calling a "Gambler" theme.
Many of you have seen the standard SpeakEasy but we were wondering what you think of this custom design?
What other themed SpeakEasy lapsteels would you like to see?

Transparent "Gambler Green" laquer finish, similar to the color of card table material.
Mother of Pearl shell, card suit inlay on the fretboard.
Custom 12th fret name inlay done in Abalone and Mother of Pearl shell. Caroline is the name of this customers wife. Inlay can be designed to your preference.
Binding, pickup cover and tuner knobs in matching pearl material with "dice" knobs for Volume and Tone controls.
Chambered Alder body with Mahogany neck and 24.5" scale solid Rosewood fretboard.

Vintage Vibe Charlie Christian pickup with pearl covering.
Grover Rotomatic tuners with pearl knobs.
Electrosocket jack in polished Aluminum.
Custom made 8 string bridge.

It is a beautiful thing. Ron's guitars are future classics. I've not seen any better. Props to RAM guitars.

Cool! So good to see someone trying something new and creative. Lollar CC pickups are nice.

:D Nice guitars. See & play the RAM guitars on display at the HSGA Joliet Hawaiian Festival at the Holiday Inn on October 3, 4 & 5, 2013. Talk to Ron and give him your ideas. Go to the HSGA website www.hsga.orgfor details on the Festival.

I am the lucky SOB that ordered this guitar. It sounds absolutely amazing and looks great as well. Ron is an old college friend who is a true artisan. If you are looking for an amazing custom instrument made to your specs with the highest quality woods and materials, dont hesitate to call him. He delivered on every level. Thanks Ron!

Chris just brought this fine specimen by this week, and I got to check it out in person- fantastic workmanship, if anything, nice in person. Congrats to Chris and Ron both!

While I would prefer a sunburst style, that is killer looking guitar. Congrats.
