Tribotone
I believe so, I spoke to him in person last fall when I was done there for Austin City Limits and he said he was going through some personal and professional changes such as shifting the location of his shop...of course only Ed can answer that but I left him feeling that he'll be back in business in time.

Hi everyone,
Still here! Playing a lot of music lately myself. I've written 5 new songs this year which is sort of a record.
NEW PLACE - CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK IN PRODUCTION!!!
We have a water well permit, septic permit, environmental permit, the house is there. Approved for a loan to build the shop. A lot of this delay and cost is regulations even though I'm in the ETJ (Extra Territorial Jurisdiction) and not technically in the city of Austin. They think they still own it out there! It's a matter of final approvals. The water well is $17,500.00 and is rolled into the mortgage. Needs final walk-through from the Edwards Aquifer Authority. I'm also a single Dad... and my son has type-1 diabetes. I don't expect people to know what that means but he's on an insulin pump. Perfectly healthy but adds a lot to your day. No one can watch him that has not been trained how to count carbohydrates, or give corrections for hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. I hope to be out of the woods with a lot of things by December. Right now it is best to call if you must. I played guitar and steel this morning! Before heading to work. That has not changed. I will be back to Tribotone production the moment I land at the new place. I miss it a lot:-) All is well. Just super busy with life, job, the new place. Tribotone owns and uses some heavy equipment. It's all there in storage. 100% certain to return:-)) Thank you for your support. Life is good. Attitude good. Music is even better:-)
P.S. One of my new tunes addresses Type-1. "High and Low." IMO the most realistic tune on this subject judging from my competition on YouTube;-) Hope to post it sometime.

Great to hear news from you Eric! Best of luck with everything! And the steel world definitely needs Tribo-Tones, I use mine everyday!

Tribo Tone
Eric,
Great to hear things are coming together. New place sounds wonderful and super glad to hear more Tribotones are in our future...
In the meantime, for a carb counting kid, I'm sure the lack of flour baked good (pancakes, waffles, biscuits) are hard. Check out Carbquik...amazing stuff...very, very good substitute. 2 net carbs...no sugar.
Still loving all my Tribo Tone products including bottleneck slides and bars...
Best,
james

Believe it or not there are a lot more members who know about diabetes than you think. This Forum has a balance of older members, and a large proportion of us have contracted type 2 diabetes and have to test our glucose level every few hours. It's bad enough to have type 2 diabetes in middle age, but we have only ourselves to blame for abusing our bodies for all those years; whereas a child with type 1 diabetes never had a chance to avoid it. Thank goodness insulin was discovered and is now easily available, so your son can look forward to a healthy life.Eric Ebner wrote:...my son has type-1 diabetes.
