Ever hear of a "KALINA" by Multi-Chord?????

Post by Ed Naylor »

Going thru some old guitars I had stached away, I found this old "Kalina" By Multi-Chord. It has a moulded body and is 6 strings and 4 Pedals. It has a 'Brownish-Grey" Sunburst finish. Some of you "Oldtimers" may remember and can help with some info. I am as confused as the little boy who dropped his chewing gum in the chicken house on this one.Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works

Ed,
There is a Kalina on EBay now, a six string with four pedals. I don't know any details about this particular model of Multi-Kord, but it just looks like a variation of the regular M-K. I have an eight string six pedal regular wood body one in my collection.
It belonged to my Dad and he made a LOT of music on the thing.

I've seen a lot of "Kalinas" lately. I think it was a regular Multi-Kord (dolled-up, somewhat), that was marketed towards those who played Hawaiian music. Most that I've seen are fancier (in color and design) than the regular Multi-Kords. Same basic axe, though.
