I had the honor of playing at the Dad Watson's Americana Festival at the nearly 100 year old Crystal Ballroom in Northwest Portland.
I worked with some really nice people who helped me at every crossroad. When unloading my mini-van this evening, I discovered that my HOLY GRAIL reverb unit, about 1/2 dozen cords and my Goodrich foot pedal were missing from my carrying case. WHAT A LOSS!!!!
If anyone discovered any of these items after the show, please let me know. |

Ray
I hope your things show up - I had help like that once , but i was able to retrieve the missing item at the same place we played -- i didn’t notice the missing equipment until the next day when setting up for another gig -- I had to beet feet to the other place to get it -- and was a little late getting back -- |

Appreciate your comments.
Just moments ago, I rec'd a phone call and my stuff has been found and secured, awaiting my retrieval.
I guess my living right all of these years has its pay-off, eh?
Are you playing much, lately? |

Good news Ray --- i think things like this are unintentional , folks don’t know what goes were , so it get set aside and then overlooked . good that it all worked out . |

I hear ya Ray, been there. You appreciate the help but they don't know that you have an order of packing and unpacking to keep track of your stuff. I can roll up in my van and they'll take everything in sight out including my tire jack and spare tire. The worst, though is an event where you have multiple bands and the promoter has hired "stagehands" to get stuff on and off quickly. You finish your set and while you're unplugging one cord, you look around and half your gear has disappeared God knows where. Glad they found your stuff. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro

We played at the State Pen some years back and had lots of help from the trustees loading in and out. As we were packing up after the show, one of them brought me a long power cord with a quad box that had been used on the stage, but I told him it was not ours so he took it away. On our way out of the building the same power cord showed up in the hands of a different trustee and I again told him it was not ours and sent it away. When we got to the outer gate, there was that power cord again, and I sent it back a third time. We eventually made it out to the truck and loaded up the gear, but just as I went to close the door another trustee ran up and tossed that power cord directly INTO MY TRUCK, at which point I gave up, closed the door and drove away. You gotta pick your battles... |
